NYFW Spring 2014 Street Style: Grasie Mercedes
It's something about wearing a sports tee, and then pairing it gracefully with a patterned skirt and metallic pointy-toe pumps, that makes this look very "back-to-school' appropriate for trend setters. Or at least make you wish you styled your club flag football team tee this way back in school. Well played, Grasie!

Spotted on the Street: Eamonn Wright
My best friend Eamonn Wright was recently featured in a video by Bill Cunningham reporting on August fashion on the streets of New York. Cunningham is fascinated with the "new generation of young men" these days who are dressing the way they really want. He addresses how this revolution in menswear involves breaking out of the confining standards conventionally controlled by manufacturers, and experimenting with different elements of dress. Look for Eamonn's shot at 0:33 in the video below. He updates the classic plaid button down by choosing a slim fit and creates a v-neckline by leaving the top buttons undone. Although all he is wearing is a simple button down, jeans, and loafers, the way he decides to pair these elements together makes this outfit as a whole much more than just simple (Shirt, H&M ; Jeans, Levi's ; Shoes, ASOS ; Belt, Vintage). By the way, Eamonn has a wonderful fashion and lifestyle blog of his own, The Ensembler, so make sure to check it out here.
