Spotted on the Street: Eamonn Wright

My best friend Eamonn Wright was recently featured in a video by Bill Cunningham reporting on August fashion on the streets of New York. Cunningham is fascinated with the "new generation of young men" these days who are dressing the way they really want. He addresses how this revolution in menswear involves breaking out of the confining standards conventionally controlled by manufacturers, and experimenting with different elements of dress. Look for Eamonn's shot at 0:33 in the video below. He updates the classic plaid button down by choosing a slim fit and creates a v-neckline by leaving the top buttons undone. Although all he is wearing is a simple button down, jeans, and loafers, the way he decides to pair these elements together makes this outfit as a whole much more than just simple (Shirt, H&M ; Jeans, Levi's ; Shoes, ASOS ; Belt, Vintage). Don't Mesh With Her!

Andrea and I are obsessed with this leather cap from Asos. Depending on how you wear it, it can either polish up an outfit or add a whole lot of spunk to your wardrobe. Toss it on backwards to give any outfit a laid back feel.Get yours here!

I bought this skirt at least two years ago and truthfully have never found a place or time to wear it. The layers of mesh and tulle are a bit too heavy for Michigan's humid summer weather, but it's perfect for transitional seasons like spring or fall. 

I needed to style the outfit with something harder-edged to balance out the flirty ballerina-esque tulle, so I added touches of black leather head-to-toe. Also, pairing the dusty pink skirt with a mint green tank allowed me pump in color in a subtle way.

What immediately caught my eye was her choice of mustard yellow to pop the outfit. Her lenses are actually tinted more orange, matching her jacket, than shown in these photos. She's wearing Oakley Frogskins, and you can shop them here.
