New Kids on The Block: The Fever Tongues

My buddy Josh is in a newly-formed band called The Fever Tongues. I asked Josh to give a run-down on what the troupe's all about. Described as "a young, fearless garage band from the mitten", The Fever Tongues is composed of a young group of talented musicians - Joe Dart, Billy Harrington, and Josh Smith. Their music is a solid mix of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, The Strokes's first two albums, and Joy Division. Spoken best by Josh, Fever Tongues "transports vibes from another time (mostly 1960-72) to the smokey basements and loud bars of the modern world." This is definitely a new and upcoming band to keep your eyes on. I strongly recommend you check out their music HERE.

Don't Mesh With Her!

Andrea and I are obsessed with this leather cap from Asos. Depending on how you wear it, it can either polish up an outfit or add a whole lot of spunk to your wardrobe. Toss it on backwards to give any outfit a laid back feel.Get yours here!

I bought this skirt at least two years ago and truthfully have never found a place or time to wear it. The layers of mesh and tulle are a bit too heavy for Michigan's humid summer weather, but it's perfect for transitional seasons like spring or fall. 

I needed to style the outfit with something harder-edged to balance out the flirty ballerina-esque tulle, so I added touches of black leather head-to-toe. Also, pairing the dusty pink skirt with a mint green tank allowed me pump in color in a subtle way.
