During my second week in the city, I wandered over to a pleasant town in New Jersey called Hoboken. There's something very old-fashioned yet unique about Hoboken. Maybe it's the authentic 1930s Schnackenberg's Luncheonette diner on Washington Street, or the famous Carlo's Bake Shop (TLC's Cake Boss, anyone??), or possibly even because this was Frank Sinatra's birthplace.... that gives Hoboken such a revived, townie feel.
For anyone looking to spend a long weekend getaway, I definitely recommend considering paying a lovely visit to Hoboken. This little town, slightly over one square mile in size, just might inspire you in some way or form.
